Dr. Dachman, rated one of the best doctors in Cook County, Illinois for 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 as cited by The Castle Connolly Guide, is board certified in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, Electronic Thermography, and Clinical Pain Management. Dr. Dachman obtained his Rheumatology certification from Northwestern University. He was a James Scholar and received his B.S. and M.D. from University of Illinois. Dr. Dachman spent 20 years as a medical director at Suburban Arthritis and Back Center and was also the director of Rheumatology with Edgewater Hospital. Dr. Dachman was an instructor at Northwestern University from 1980 to 1984. He has also worked as a rheumatologist at six hospitals in the Chicago area. Dr. Dachman has given numerous lectures about pain management, is a noted author and researcher, and is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Rheumatology, the American Medical Association, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the Chicago Medical Society, and the Chicago Rheumatism Society.

Dr. Spatt joined Dachman Center for Pain Therapy in 1987 as a Podiatrist. He has over 20 years of experience practicing podiatric medicine and is Board Certified in Foot & Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Spatt graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern Illinois University. Dr. Spatt received his B.S./D.P.M. from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1978 and performed his residency training in Foot & Ankle Surgery at Lincoln West Medical Center in Chicago. In 1988, Dr. Spatt was appointed Director of Podiatric Residency at North Chicago V.A. and spent 3 years developing the residency program and teaching foot and ankle surgery to many surgical residents. During that same period, Dr. Spatt acted as the Director of Podiatric services at the Chicago Medical School. He currently holds two academic positions, which include Adjunctive Assistant Professor, Department of Surgery of The Chicago Medical School and Adjunctive Associate Professor of Podiatric Medicine at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Spatt has taught surgery to many residents, is published in the major foot and ankle journals, and has attended numerous training seminars to advance his knowledge and practice of podiatric medicine. He has received additional training and certifications in both CO2 and Pulsed Dye Laser Surgery, use of Ultrasound in the foot and ankle, A-O fixation techniques in foot and ankle surgery, Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy, and Extracorporeal Shock Wave treatment for the treatment of Plantar Fasciitis and other chronic inflammatory conditions.

Gregory Paprocki, D.P.T., Ph.D.
Physical Therapy

Dr. Paprocki has specialized in treating patients with chronic pain since joining Dachman Center for Pain Therapy in 1992. He incorporates many approaches and concepts into Physical Therapy treatment to provide very efficient relief and instant functional improvements. Dr. Paprocki graduated in 1992 from The Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy, and he is currently preparing to defend his dissertation and will receive a degree as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. He has continued to study and attend numerous training seminars, including many focused on Manual Therapy. In 1997, he attended a three-month program at the Kaiser Rehabilitation Center in Vallejo, California, training in a therapeutic method known as Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation. Beginning in 1999, he attended a two-year residency with the Ola Grimsby Institute focusing on the Norwegian approach in Manual Therapy. After completing all requirements, he received, with honors, the title of Certified Functional Manual Therapist from The Institute of Physical Art in 2003. He is recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He has continued extensive cooperation with the Medical School in Bydgoszcz, Poland where he received his Ph.D. degree in 2001. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, and the International PNF Association. Dr. Paprocki has been published in medical journals and has given many presentations. He continues his research in the area of chronic pain and specializes in treating complex dysfunctions.
