Pain Therapy Associates

Percutaneous discectomy is a procedure for people with sciatica or leg pain pain caused by a bulging disc that has not ruptured the outer wall. Percutaneous discectomy, or disc decompression, relieves the pressure caused by the disc interfering with nerve roots. It is a minimally invasive procedure performed using only a small needle. An advanced form of this procedure uses plasma technology to remove tissue from the center of the disc. Tissue removal decompresses the disc and relieves pressure on a nearby nerve root to relieve and reduce pain.

Our percutaneous discectomy patients come to us from Arlington Heights, Elgin, Elk Gove, Schaumburg, Chicago and neighboring communities. For more information about our advanced pain management procedures, please call Pain Therapy Associates at 847-352-5511 or use our convenient appointment request form today!
