Joint injections allow us to place special medications directly into a joint to diagnose the cause of a swollen joint and/or relieve pain. A sacroiliac joint injection, for example, helps us diagnose or treat lower back pain and sciatica symptoms caused by sacroiliac joint dysfunction. A numbing medication such as cortisone may give a patient several hours of immediate, temporary pain relief.
Our joint injection patients come to us from Arlington Heights, Elgin, Elk Gove, Schaumburg, Palatine, Hoffman Estates, Wheaton and surrounding locations.
