Dr. Harris Shaikh

Vascular & Interventional Radiologist

Dr. Harris Shaikh is a board-certified specialist in vascular and interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology, with advanced expertise in minimally invasive endovascular surgery. He uses cutting-edge technology and image guidance to perform complex endovascular procedures with precision and safety.

Dr. Shaikh specializes in procedures that relieve joint pain, including genicular artery embolization (GAE) for knee arthritis and shoulder artery embolization for chronic shoulder pain. His clinical experience spans the full spectrum of interventional radiology—including interventional oncology, interventional pain, and other advanced embolization procedures such as uterine fibroid embolization, gonadal vein embolization, and prostate artery embolization.  These advanced treatments help patients improve their quality of life without major surgery.

Dr. Shaikh completed his radiology residency at Michigan State University, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Henry Ford Hospital—one of the nation’s leading centers for advanced IR care.

During his tenure at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, he managed some of the region’s most complex cases in vascular disease, trauma, pediatric IR, and gastrointestinal bleeding. Dr. Shaikh is committed to providing care that improve outcomes and enhance patients’ quality of life. His philosophy centers on collaboration, compassion, and accessibility, ensuring that advanced care is both effective and patient-focused.

A lifelong Chicagoan, Dr. Shaikh resides in the suburbs of Chicago with his wife and three children. Outside of medicine, he enjoys outdoor sports, traveling, and exploring new cultures with his family.
