She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota, where she majored in Nutritional Sciences and minored in Leadership. Her passion for healthcare began early, accumulating over 1,500 clinical hours before pursuing her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Marquette University.
Her academic and clinical background is complemented by a strong interest in integrative approaches to pain management, informed by her training in nutrition and whole-person wellness. Josie is deeply committed to optimizing her patients' quality of life through collaborative, personalized care. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and believes that a comprehensive, multidisciplinary strategy is key to addressing chronic pain.
In addition to her clinical work, Josie brings a strong background in leadership and community involvement. She has taught undergraduate leadership courses, served as a Senior Research Assistant at Hennepin County Medical Center, and held multiple leadership roles including Vice President of her PA class and founder of a professional women’s organization. She has also been a dedicated volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters for over a decade.
Outside of the clinic, Josie enjoys waterskiing with her family, hiking in national and state parks with her husband, playing with her dog West at the beach, running along the lake shore, and discovering new restaurants and breweries.
